When Cristiano Garbarini 1d of Italy creates three weak groups early in his 6th-round game against Emil Garcia Bustamante 4d of Mexico, it’s no surprise that one of them winds up in trouble. Garbarini gets to save it in ko when Bustamante misses the vital killing point, but promptly gets himself in trouble again with another group. Bustamente, says Michael Redmond 9P in his commentary, offers Garbarini one more chance to get back into the game, moving aggressively when he’s got a weak group himself.
